- Read the Buddy’s profile and reviews before you hire.
- Message on Hire a Buddy first to agree on the job, time and pay.
- Share your street address only after you’ve agreed on the job.
- If you can, have someone else home for the first job.
- Put away valuables and medications before anyone comes over.
🎓 For Buddies
- Tell a friend or family member where you’re going and when you’ll be back.
- Agree on the pay before you start the job.
- Keep your phone charged and with you.
- You can leave any job that feels unsafe, no explanation needed.
- Never share bank logins or send money to anyone you meet here.
🤝 For Everyone
- Keep conversations on Hire a Buddy so there’s a record.
- Be wary of anyone who rushes you, asks for money, or wants to move off the site right away.
- Trust your gut. If something feels wrong, it’s okay to say no.
- Use the Report and Block buttons on any profile or chat.
- In an emergency, call 911 first.
